Gitxaała Nation

Gitxaała Nation traditional territories and waters stretch from Prince Rupert to Aristazebel Island, including Banks Island, McCauley Island, Pitt Island, Campania Island and portions of the mainland adjacent to Grenville Channel and the surrounding waterways, and an oolichan fishing station on the Nass River. There are approximately 2010 Gitxaała Nation members.

 

Gitxaała Nation has overlapping and/or shared territories with its First Nations neighbours: Gitga'at, Kitasoo/Xai'xais, Kitselas, Kitsumkalum, Lax Kw'alaams, Metlakatla and Haisla.
